I came across some unidentified individuals in the UK which don’t have enough details each for their own pages but stuck out to me in particular, the type I don’t believe many people here will have read about.
The Disembodied Feet, 1987
A right foot found inside a sock and training shoe which was found at Middleton on 5th August, 1987. Middleton village (as opposed to Middleton the town near Manchester) is between Heysham and Overton, where a holiday camp was run from 1939 to 1994. It’s a small place without its own train station and on the coast.
On 31th August the same year a left foot was found in an identical sock and training shoe at Heysham. Heysham meanwhile is a larger coastal village which overlooks Morecambe Bay. It’s a ferry port with services to the Isle of Man and Ireland.
Both shoes were a UK size 4 but I couldn’t find any information about where they were found, if they were washed up or dumped further in land. The person is believed to be white European woman between the ages of seventeen and fifty. The rest of her remains have not been found.
The Fall at Islington, 1975
A male believed to be in his twenties fell from the seventeenth floor of a block of flats in Islington, Inner London. He was not identified as a resident of the block and was found with a bus ticket from Southampton, Hampshire. Despite the face being in a recognisable state nobody has come forward to claim him.
The Diver at Dover, 1992
On 3rd October a passing ship identified the body of a white male diver and took him to shore at Dover, the major ferry port in Kent. The English Channel, here at its narrowest point in the Straits of Dover, is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world.
The age estimation is large, speculating the man was between the ages of sixteen and sixty suggesting it was in pretty poor condition. He’s believed to have been in the water for several months. He was recovered in a full diving suit with built in boots.
On the M40, 2000
A dark European male estimated to be between seventeen thirty ears old. He was struck by a vehicle after falling from a lorry on the M40 motorway at Great Milton, Oxfordshire. The M40 links London, Oxford and Birmingham.
The individual seems to have been trying to attract attention of passers by and fallen while trying to do so. He’s believed to have entered the UK recently and I could see no information on the identity of the lorry driver.
Mary Kofi, 2006
An Afro Caribbean woman was found outside St Helier Hospital in Sutton. She was conscious and reported suffering from abdominal pain. She was found to have packages of cocaine in her stomach and died at the hospital.
Before her passing she stated her name was 'Mary Kofi'. There is some discrepancy regarding her age; she claimed to be forty-seven but gave her birth year as 1957.
Body in the Playground, 1970
The body of a white man (between twenty to thirty years of age) was discovered in a children's playground, Secker Street, London on 28th July 1970. Cause of death was the result of multiple injuries consistent with having fallen from a great height, such as a nearby building. However there seems to be no confirmation of which building it could have been nor whether he could have landed in the playground or been moved there.
On his person was a return train ticket from Farnborough, Hampshire to London, issued on 17th July 1970. From this it is assumed he left Farnborough with the intention of returning.
