That's pretty cool I kinda like Howard Jones. I didn't listen to him at the time but then I saw him live on one of those retro 80's tour shows and it was good. I may see him live again this year.

"Specialty" and "Two Souls" are my favorite songs as well. I was going to list "Two Souls", but ultimately went with "Those Who Move Clouds". These are also my favorites:

Excellent there jayhn1111 ! I'm just curious here - what year did you see HOJO in concert ? Surprisingly I haven't seen him live in concert since 1996 but it certainly was a memorable one for me because it was the very first HOJO Concert I ever went to ( and soon after bought almost every album of his on CD after that ) . Thanks so much jayhn1111 for your reply .

It had Midge Ure from Ultravox, Tom Bailey from the Thompson twins, a couple of other bands, and Howard Jones headlined. It was a great show. He's doing a free show at a casino so I may go to that if it didn't happen yet.

I was sad when they decided to fold as a band in the early/mid 1990's also . I hope you are able the catch the free HoJo concert that you mentioned here too . Thanks so much jayhn1111 for your reply .

I love the Thompson Twins! He played all the Thompson twins hits that I never thought I'd hear live. Also Ultravox I like and wanted to see Midge. I went there knowing very little about Howard Jones but it ended up being a nice surprise that I'd enjoy it. I remember my sister was always a fan in the 80's I looked up his tour dates. After all the confusion (after I typed in Howard Johnson instead of Jones in my search ) I see he's now doing the 80's tour again with Modern English and Men without hats, English beat and more! I want to go to that.

I would highly recommend you going to that one also and getting a t-shirt for a keepsake if those are available too . Have tons of fun if you do go .

Excellent song selection there heeeeey . I remember that one well but never knew it was about a canine passing on - that's so sad ( however it is a beautiful & memorable song just the same ) . BTW - I really like your dragonfly Avatar - very pretty indeed .

I like that revolution song you posted. And two souls. That's good stuff. In the Name of Love is my favorite Thompson twins song ever. Also the song Heeey posted about the dog. That's always sad when dogs pass.

‘Alanis Morissette – ‘That I Would Be Good’. I have Alanis Morissette’s ‘The Collection’ album and that is one of my favourite songs on it. I especially love when the flute starts at 3:26 (and this answers a query I had about the song, as the version on my CD always seemed to have this very faint, but still noticeable, buzzing/fuzzy sound in the background during this track...but since it’s also present in that video, I guess it’s just part of the song). There’s two pieces of music that stand out, as they always seem to get to me thanks to them being used to perfection at the ends of two movies...except they had such an impact, that even when I’m not watching the movies they’re from and am just listening to the isolated tracks by themselves, they still bring back those emotions felt when listening to them in the context of the films. The first is ‘Now We Are Free’ by Hans Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard from Gladiator. And the second is ‘To The Stars’ by Randy Edelman from the movie Dragonheart (especially from 1:13 onwards). Yes, it is. The buzzing sound was caused by the producer recording too close to the amplifier and he rerecorded it, but Alanis preferred the take with the buzz. I like it too. Makes it feel more intimate.

Thanks for this bit of info.
I like quite a few of Alanis Morissette's songs...although I haven't listened to anything she's done in recent years.
Other favourites of mine from 'The Collection' album are 'Head Over Feet', 'Hands Clean', 'Still' (from the movie Dogma) and 'Uninvited' (from City of Angels), plus I like all her main hits such as 'You Oughta Know', 'Hand In My Pocket', 'Ironic', 'You Learn', as well as 'Thank U' and 'Everything'.
