Evil of Frankenstein is universally recognized as the worst Hammer Frankenstein in the series. And you think it's "solid?" Come on. Thankfully, opinions vary.

Sorry, but it's not just my opinion. www.1000misspenthours.com/reviews/reviewsa-d/eviloffrankenstein.htm1964 was not a good year, creatively speaking, for Hammer Film Productions. That year's lineup included both the tediously stupid The Gorgon and the stupidly tedious The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb. It also included a top contender for the title of Worst Hammer Frankenstein Film, The Evil of Frankenstein. horrorfreaknews.com/evil-frankenstein-1964-reviewIt should be noted that it takes a good forty minutes or more before they even find the monster. And, the monster, itself, doesn’t produce any mayhem until the one hour mark. It all leads to a climax that leaves much to be desired and is, in fact, somewhat of a groaner. The ending will also leave you unfilled. www.allmovie.com/movie/the-evil-of-frankenstein-v16262/reviewThe worst of Hammer Films' Frankenstein series, this dismal third installment suffers from the direction of the studio's resident hack, Freddie Francis (Craze), who stepped in for Terence Fisher for the first (and thankfully last) time. Need I say more?

Need I say more? It doesn't matter if every other person on the planet believes the film to be dreadful. If one person likes it, what's it to any of us? The poster believes it's a solid film. So what? It's nice to see someone giving the film and the hard work put into it some love. That you and some critics disagree doesn't mean diddly poo. Why does everyone always have to hold your opinion? Besides, I quite like it as well, and Curse of the Mummy's Tomb too. Tedious? Not at all. Of course, I guess I should have consulted the critics to know what I should think about the movies.

Yes, you should've consulted the critics beforehand, since the quality of Hammer's films had gone down considerably from the early 60s. Curse of the Mummy's Tomb and Evil of Frankenstein were nothing but programmers, and their budgets were clearly very small.

I dunno if it sucks since I haven't seen it. But ur opinion is spot on.

Curse of the Mummy's Tomb and Evil of Frankenstein were nothing but programmers, and their budgets were clearly very small. If someone can make an entertaining movie on a small budget I would applaud them even more. Herschell Gordon Lewis is king for me there. Big budget movies that fail to do so are a waste of money to me. I wouldn't be surprised you would think the complete opposite. Since you are obviously on the critics and what the majority thinks side (usually) you don't have to worry about these few people disagreeing with you.

I don't worry about it...but I've also seen those movies many, many times. Including Herschell Lewis' stuff. Blood Feast is painful to watch, but I did find 2,000 Maniacs entertaining because it actually had a story line.

Bought a dvd set with "The Gorgon", "Curse of the Mummy's Tomb", and "The Full treatment".
Out of all of them "The full treatment" was very disappointing to me. Lots of boring pseudo psychological talk with a payoff not worth sticking around for. But they can't all be winners.
