I've had toast/English muffins with cheese melted under the broiler, or in a toaster oven. But, I don't think that I've had it grilled for breakfast. Looks good ... I might try it.

I frequently have a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich for breakfast. Not a big fan of most cereals and starting the day with sweet pastry just sets me up for too much sugar all day.

Yes, I love a grilled cheese for breakfast, when I was still working, a grilled cheese made me feel more productive and by lunch time, all I wanted was a light lunch. I still have a grilled cheese for breakfast once in a while, if I know I'm going to be running errands for many hours. Because of cholesterol, I watch my cheese intake.
I like to use 2 different cheeses for my grilled cheese, a common combination for me is Swiss Cheese and real American cheese.

A grilled cheese ( or to some a toasted cheese  ) sandwich for breakfast I say to that - YUM ! comfort food for the morning indeed  .
I also have had this many times over the years
and to complete the morning meal
even accompanied it with a can of - V-8 Juice as well   .

My breakfast today : a grilled cheese and a salad of Romaine and shredded purple cabbage with Thousand Island dressing. I'm sure my doctor would not be happy with me but I was so hungry this morning. I often eat a green salad for breakfast.

Pretty sure I haven't. I don't often eat breakfast as it is. And I consider grilled cheeses something of a pain in the ass to make, so getting up and making one in the morning doesn't sound like me.

Often have cheese on things at breakfast (bread, tortilla, hashbrown patty, etc), or just eat a chunk as is. I don't really do the official grilled cheese.
