Will help or hurt the MCU. I think that waiting till next May will build more anticipation for Black Widow. Actually the gap might make BW earn more money than if it was released in Nov-Dec.

I'm with you, I think it will help with the anticipation. From the span of May 2107 when GOTGV2 was released up until FFH earlier this month, the MCU had 9 movies in 50 months...that's an average of a new movie every 5 1/2 months. With the completion of the Infinity Saga, I think the 10-month break now is good, and by the time BW is released, people will be dying to get back into that universe.

It couldn't hurt to have a small reprieve. I think they are justifiably dominating the superhero movie game, and their success is rightfully gotten gains, but people can't not eventually resent the omnipresence of Disney-owned stuff clogging the theaters. Maybe not every average movie-goer, but people who look closely will notice with or without the MCU, Disney is all over every theater pumping out cash cow after cash cow with Marvel Movies, live action remakes, Star Wars; just dominating. The quality is usually there, but almost anything not owned by Disney is a palette cleanser.
Case in point, I don't think I've ever been so relieved to see a Quentin Tarantino movie in all my life.
Rightfully earned dominance of the pop-culture is still dominance. I haven't even seen Spiderman: Far From Home yet because it's too soon after Endgame, just like I didn't see Ant-Man and the Wasp in theater because it was too soon after Infinity War. I'm great with no fall movie. If this relationship between the MCU and I is to last, I need a break.

Maybe they will re-release Endgame right before Black Widow.

It seemed to help Iron Man & Cap 3 so I don't see why it wouldn't help Black Widow also, giving themselves significant time between major movies makes sense.

They didn’t have one last year, so I doubt it’ll be a problem.

They didn’t have one last year, so I doubt it’ll be a problem. True didn't think of that. Part of me just wanted to ask the question because I'm disappointed I have to wait til May to see a MCU movie. There are other movies though that will fill in the gap for me. I'm looking forward to Good Boys It 2 Ad Astra Rambo Last Blood (Not really that excited to see it but I'll go see it) Joker Zombieland Double Tap Jay and Silent Bob Reboot Gemini Man The Adams Family ( not that excited but the group wants to see it so I will) Terminator: Dark Fate (I'm a little gun shy about this movie, I know Cameron is producing and credit for story, but all the movies between T2 and this has soured me a bit. They are basically scrubing all of those movies as if they weren't made.) Doctor Sleep A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (I think Tom Hanks was born to play Mr. Rogers) Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Maybe I'll go see Jumaji 2 but probably will wait to watch it at home. Maybe Badboys 2 in theaters, but most likely at home Maybe Birds of Prey in theaters, but most likely at home A Quiet Place 2 I would say New Mutants but I don't think it will be released now.
