St. Louis sues NFL, teams over Rams' relocation
Associated Press
ST. LOUIS -- The city of St. Louis and that region's sports authority are suing the NFL over the Rams' relocation to Los Angeles.
The lawsuit filed Wednesday in St. Louis Circuit Court also names the NFL's 32 teams as defendants and seeks unspecified damages and restitution.
The lawsuit alleges that the Rams failed to meet league relocation rules when leaving for Los Angeles before last season, constituting a contractual breach with St. Louis.
The NFL did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment. The Rams said they do not comment on pending legal matters.
The lawsuit alleges that St. Louis has lost an estimated $1.85 million to $3.5 million each year in amusement and ticket tax collections, as well as roughly $7.5 million in property taxes. In total, the city will have lost more than $100 million in net proceeds.

It should be thrown out. st Louis doesn't have a leg to stand on. Huh? Cleveland did the exact same thing, and was awarded an expansion team.

Huh? Cleveland did the exact same thing, and was awarded an expansion team. Rams had one of the worst fanbases where as browns have a very good one.

It would be stupid to expand above 32 teams. That number is ideal for a lot of reasons.

It would be stupid to expand above 32 teams. That number is ideal for a lot of reasons. And yet, the Browns were the stupid awkward number 31 team.

St. Louis did nothing to hold up their end of the bargain until it was too late.
no leg to stand on.

I wouldnt mind an expansion team....but it cause issues. TBH, only way it will work you literally need EIGHT expansion teams. Why you ask? Well lets say St Louis and idk....San Antonio, LA, London (Never know), or Vancouver gets the other, ok, one in the AFC one in the NFC, but now North/South/East/West, one of those would have 5 teams in it, and it wouldnt be fair. They could make 5 teams in each conference or a new one (How would that work....the sideways conference?). I know back in the day, some conferences did have 5, others didnt, but it is a nice even 4 in each. I wouldnt mind 5 in each...AND it give other cities revenue and gives more football players homes, but man it could be spread thin.
Sure Colin K, Cutler, and RG3 would be excited, as well as some 2nd stringers QBs, but man....32 to 40 teams...ouch.

It's only a matter of time until the NFL (and all leagues) expand, and then again and again.
