The first one had its charms. I’m cautiously excited.

To date you have yet to actually defend the first movie in any serious way you just leave it as 'it was dark and mature and cool' without going any further and whenever somebody points out whatever silliness that was present in it(like the restaurant scene) you say nothing or bring up something from an MCU movie and accuse the critic as being biased.

The first one was alright, a 6/10. With a different director, a bigger budget and Carnage this might be better.

For those wanting some more of that sweet She-Venom action, Michelle Williams is returning too.

Even with a new director Venom 2 won't be better, than it's predecessor. As long Sony will interfere, and didn't give Serkis creative Freedom.

I liked Venom a lot more than I expected too. It's definitely not for everybody's tastes but it was a damn fun movie. Wasn't the Venom that I'm used to but I still highly enjoyed it. Gave it like a 6.5/10 which is higher than I rated Endgame. No idea what to expect from Serkis as a director but I'm excited for it. Hopefully they do Carnage right, Harrelson is a good actor and I'm a fan of his but not sure he's the right guy for that part.

I should be excited for this, but didn’t he direct Mowgli for Netflix? While it wasn’t a BAD movie, it felt unfinished like the cgi wasn’t totally done. I could clearly tell Baloo was Serkis in the face from the movie and it was kind of creepy to look at. I hope he is able to make Venom 2 work though.
