Love the majority of Bogie's films. However, I recently re watched a copy of "Beat the Devil" and was totally disappointed at this mess of a movie. Talk about a waste of talent.(Bogie, Lorre, Morely, Lollabridgeda)

Women wanted to be with him. Men wanted to be him.

Well, that was his image, anyway. On the set of Angels With Dirty Faces, when the Dead End Kids teased Bogart and stole his pants, James Cagney was the one who had to get tough with the young punks and threaten to smack 'em around to keep them in line.

One of his lesser known but still quite good films, Sirocco. An interesting story, Bogart is a smuggler/arms trader during a Syrian insurgency against the French in the 1920's after WW1. There are cafe bombings, underground lairs, and unrequited love... This is a good review: bogiefilmblog.wordpress.com/2014/03/16/sirocco-1951/

I need a source for BODY AND SOUL and A DEVIL WITH WOMEN (the only two of his features I have missed) or I post more pictures from this movie!

Bogie in a cowboy hat looks like a kid at a birthday party who was just told he couldn't have a second helping of cake.

Bogart and Greenstreet compare guns in Across The Pacific. Bogart says, "Mine's bigger than yours." (Yes, he really says that.)

Again from Across The Pacific, he goes Full Rambo to defend the Panama Canal on December 7, 1941. Also, my avatar- Bogart the book lover. What do you think these are, grapefruit?
