Pick 1 winner from each of the matches (movie which you prefer) and vote in the poll above. Make sure you only vote for 1 winner per match. If you need to make a tie, don't vote on that particular match... though I encourage you to vote for every match as this helps the statistics.
Round 5
Match 1: Avengers: Infinity War vs. Spiderman (2002)
Match 2: Logan vs. Spiderman 2
Match 3: Deadpool vs. Superman (78)
Match 4: X-Men: Days of Future Past vs. Wonder Woman
Match 5: X2 vs. Batman Returns
Match 6: Avengers: Endgame vs. Batman Begins
Match 7: CA: The Winter Soldier vs. Batman (89)
Match 8: The Avengers vs. The Dark Knight
Match 9: GOTG vs. Thor: Ragnarok

Avengers and TDK are really two different kinds of films. TDK is a crime drama whereas Avengers is pure CBM popcorn fun. I voted Avengers but it's really not like one is better than the other. They're both the best at what they do. Same thought process went into Endgame over Begins. What's a better film might be different answer than what's a better CBM.

Kind of weird how TDK is getting beaten by Avengers. I think both are fantastic but I assumed the former would be in the lead of the two.

I think that TDK has been put on a pedestal. That because of how much praise it's been getting from critics, movie buffs and general audiences alike, most people are pressured into saying it's the best cbm ever because they fear their taste in movies will be ridiculed if they say otherwise. But when voting is anonymous like we have here, I think a number of people actually prefer the more fun movies over it. They just don't want to admit it out loud as it's a guilty pleasure.

TDK is only my second or third favourite (flip-flops with Endgame) CBM, and Spider-Man is my No. 1, so I can totally understand that.

Personally, my biggest problem with it is that I don't get the feeling of "That was awesome!" by the time I finish watching it. It's a ridiculously solid movie, with almost nothing I can criticize about it, but other than Joker's performance nothing about it really stands out for me to praise. So while it is more polished than movies like Avengers and IW, I find that I can't bring myself to rate it higher than these movies because these movies are just way more enjoyable for me.

Yeah that’s totally fair. It’s probably the most grounded CBM, or at least one of them.

Yeah that’s totally fair. It’s probably the most grounded CBM, or at least one of them. It depends on the movie it's up against. So far, the MCU movies are winning almost every category because if they're not the better movie, they're the better universe. For me personally, the MCU has the best shared universe bar none, but it wasn't until IW and EG that any of them beat The Dark Knight on individual effort alone. I voted The Dark Knight over The Avengers, but not Endgame. It'll be the same when it's The Dark Knight vs Infinity War.
I'm of the opinion the Nolan trilogy could have ended after The Dark Knight and would have been better for it. The MCU's a way better universe, with or without The Dark Knight Rises.
I had difficulty with The Dark Knight vs Ragnarok match. Usually my clicks are instant but this one made me stall.

Agreed that the MCU is better than TDK trilogy. I like BB but not on the same level as everybody else, and I’d say it’s right on par with Rises.
