For those of you thinking "I just don't know what I'm gonna do with myself for the next 4 days", fear not, because the annual snooker world championships start on Saturday, live on BBC.

This year will mark the 35th anniversary since Alex 'hurricane' Higgins last won it in 1982. Judd Trump goes into the tournament as favourite, aiming to win his first WC and seal a remarkable 12 months for the Trump family, Mark Selby, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Ding Junhui, Neil Robertson et all might have something to say about that though. Hasn't been confirmed whether Donald will be making the trip down to Sheffield to watch his son play.

Meanwhile, Scotland's Ricky Burns is fighting Julius Indongo of Namibia for the WBA, IBF and IBO light welterweight titles in Glasgow on Saturday night. It will be interesting to see how this fight will be received in Glasgow, the locals of course are more accustomed to watching bare knuckle fights outside the Wig & Ferret at closing time.

And Manchester United will be aiming to put a dent in Chelsea's title challenge on Sunday.

So plenty to watch, what you gonna do?
