The first Def Lep show sold out in a week, so they added another. Hopefully, this will encourage others to make this stop en route/back from Europe/Asia/Australia. We're starved for this type of concert here. (I do prefer seeing my bands in Las Vegas, though.) I've never thought of Vegas as a place that bands would skip on tours. I'm sorry to hear that

I'm sorry to hear that I live in Hawaii and we don't get many choices here. I meant that I prefer going up to Las Vegas to see concerts (as I did in recent years for Judas Priest, Dokken, Scorpions (twice), The Cult, Def Lep/Poison/Tesla). It just makes it more of a special experience.

I want to see that Cult tour this year. Are you into Lynch Mob?

Unless, of course, he does more Dokken dates, which isn't likely. I really like Jon Levin, anyway.

Great time on Saturday, Powerman 5000 were great, and I did yet another VIP meet & greet, got down there right at 4:30, when I was told to get there, and of course I'm the only VIP attendee other than 2 other guys, lol.. but it wasn't so bad, they were cool guys, Air Force vets, one stationed in NJ and one in DE, I hung out with them in the Electric Factory parking lot to kill time, then we went back over to the Voltage Lounge around 5, and of course they didn't let us in till like 5:40, lol.. so then we did the VIP session, with getting to watch the soundcheck and then getting to meet them and get a signed poster and a pic, really nice guys.. I kinda felt bad that we were the only 3 VIPs there, but I guess it wasn't so bad, it was nice and quick and didn't take too long.. So then after the VIP we had to go back out and come back around 7, when they opened the doors to all attendees, so I went 2 blocks down to the Yards Brewery to kill time (Philadelphia brewery that used to be down by Penns Landing, now moved to a bigger location on Spring Garden Street), I really liked that place, I already ate before I came down so I wasn't hungry but they looked like they had good food, and I love Yards beer but I didn't really feel like drinking so I just had a root beer float, their root beer is good too.. But, I'll remember the place for when I have a Saturday E Factory or Voltage Lounge show So then I walked back down to the Voltage Lounge and the show began, and now here's my band-by-band review: The first one was a local opener, the South Jersey metal/hardcore band They Call Us Death, they were good but during their set they were throwing all this wacky stuff into the crowd- foam noodles(the big long ones kids use in pools), confetti, and for some odd reason a tube of lubricant, which fell onto the floor and then some jackass stepped on it causing it to squirt and it got on my shoes and pants, I looked down and noticed it and thought it was beer at first, but then saw it looked sticky, I asked someone what the heck it was and then they told me it was lube.. Luckily it washed out of my pants, and I scrubbed it off my shoes, hopefully they should be dry by now... Lol, that was kinda funny but odd Then the next band was Lullwater, really good hard rock band from GA, I saw a few of their members earlier helping with the soundcheck but I didn't know it was them at the time, really good band, I would definitely see them again and then finally, PM5K, really good, I was getting tired by the time they were on but I still enjoyed them... Overall, a really fun day And, regarding my Uber home, the original cost was 82, but I luckily bought a pass that cut down the amount to 33, it's only a limited time pass that lasts for 28 days, but that's fine, 82 is way too high, I know it can be costly late at night but I've never payed that much, 60 at most The voltage lounge I still never made it there. Sorry about all that gunk you got on your pants and all that. I hate when bands do that. I am not familiar with these bands and I'm not sure If I've listened to powerman 5,000. I always hear about them. That sounds like kind of a long evening but worth it. Powerman 5000 are from the late 90s/early 2000s, it's Rob Zombie's brother's band, "When Worlds Collide", "Nobody's Real", and "Supernova Goes Pop" are their 3 most well known songs... and, great M3 review, that sucks you had to get there so early just for stupid Warrant, lol, but looked like a fun day otherwise

Allrighty here's my MMRBQ band-by-band review: I didn't really watch any of ITPOW, they were on when we got in and I pretty much just stayed in the lobby where you met me RADKEY: they sounded ok, nothing that special, kinda like a mix of Volbeat and Danzig a bit.. Not bad to listen to while walking around, but definitely not somebody I would go out of my way to see again DOROTHY: We watched them on the screen in the VIP room, like I said, hot singer but their sound was just kinda run-of-the-mill, just a lackluster Halestorm-type sound THE RECORD COMPANY: Excellent, one of the best of the day! I love their sound! I ended up buying their album at the merch booth, and glad I did That was pretty much the only merch I bought other than an STP shirt (I got the grey one with the blue and green design on it, the butterfly one wasn't that great looking) I heard a bit of JD from the lobby like I said, eh, ok I guess, but just not my thing STP: Excellent! Wow, Jeff Gutt could not be a better replacement for Weiland, he emulates his voice perfectly! Chester Bennington was good too, but Jeff Gutt does it even better! And yea it was pretty much their same setlist as usual, except for 2 new songs, and a few cut out since they weren't on as long, but overall, just as great as always GHOST: Really good, I really enjoyed their performance, their live show is very interesting AIC: Good, same setlist as usual pretty much, we left during "We Die Young", were just getting tired and wanted to beat the traffic.. A lot of people were leaving by then anyway Overall an excellent day, great seeing you and glad you enjoyed! Hopefully you'll enjoy more MMRBQs in the future

Yea great review on the Scion board, glad you enjoyed.. Here's my 2 latest reviews:
DANCE GAVIN DANCE LAST WEDNESDAY: Good show, was sold out and packed but it was ok, the Union Transfer is quite a lot less of a clusterf*ck than the Troc when it's sold out so it was fine.. I missed the first band, I forget what they were called but they sounded ok from what I listened to online of them, just a run-of-the-mill Circa Survive-type sound.. then the metalcore band Erra came on, they were really good, then I See Stars, who I liked a few songs of but most of their stuff was a bit too electronic-sounding for me, and I didn't like the singer's voice, sounded like the Circa Survive singer too much.. and then finally, Dance Gavin Dance, who were excellent
WEDNESDAY 13 THIS PAST SATURDAY: Another good time, quite the contrary with this turnout, it looked like there were only about 100 people or a bit less, so of course they didn't have the upper level open, but oh well, it was still fun.. First band was Death Valley High, they were good, sounded like a typical Marilyn Manson-type band from the late 90s.. then came Prison, good metalcore band from Florida, and then Night Club, an electronic duo with just a girl and a guy, not too bad, sounded like good Halloween dance music, and the girl in them was hot, I wanted to get a pic with her but she never came out, much to my disappointment, but oh well.. and then finally, Wednesday 13, who was just as great as always, shorter set because the final band was a band called Combichrist, who I didn't stay for, they weren't going on till 11:30 and i was getting tired, and of course I wanted to avoid the high cost of Uber from taking it home late on a Saturday night.. But overall, a really fun time
And now here's the updated concert schedule:
6/26: Suzanne Santo
6/30: The Calling
7/18: Adelitas Way
8/23: Descendents
9/7: Glenn Hughes
9/14: Angra
9/15: Life of Agony
10/5: Kansas
10/6: Thrice
10/12: Goo Goo Dolls
10/25: Garbage

I'm not sure if W13 would be the type of band to open for Flotsam and Jestam, you probably are getting them confused with someone else.. Ok so here's my review of this past Saturday night, The Calling at The Foundry, the smaller part of The Fillmore: I went down a bit earlier to eat at Goose Island Brewery which was right near there, really nice place with good food and beer, really liked it and would definitely go back, whenever I have a Saturday Fillmore show.. So I went over to get into the place, and to my surprise, there were still people in line around 8, when the doors were supposed to open.. About half an hour went by and we still hadn't gotten in yet, everyone was beginning to wonder what was going on.. then around 8:40, someone who worked for the place came out and said they were waiting for an ok from the band to let people in, and sure enough, by 9 that didn't happen.. I was starting to get very irritated as was everyone, if they didn't open the show by 9:30 or shortly after I was just going to say screw it and get an Uber home, but luckily we finally got in around 9:15.. As it turns out The Calling arrived late and started their soundcheck late.. Luckily the show started right around 9:30, I don't remember who the first guy was, some acoustic guy, he was ok I guess but I just wanted to see The Calling, but luckily the 2nd band was good, Pocket Bells, good indie rock band from Baltimore with a pretty female singer, I liked them a lot, and their singer was very nice too... Ugh, it's bad enough The Calling took forever to let their fans in, but of course they take forever to start, they didn't go on till 11:05, I was really getting aggrivated! They were good once they started, I didn't stay for their full set, to avoid a high Uber cost, but I did enjoy what I watched of them, but I definitely will NOT pay to see them again, if it was free or if they were opening for someone that's fine, but after knowing how long they take, no way will I pay to go through that again! Luckily I got a Lyft home for about 37, phew that was close, Uber probably would have been about 85 or so.. Here's The Calling's 2001 album if you're curious to hear them: www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4cg0kT_l9w&t=836s

And a much better Foundry experience last night with Adelitas Way, show started on time with no delays, and it was great, here's the full review:
The first band was Small Town Titans, a band from York, I missed them because the show started earlier than I thought, but at least it DID start on time, haha.. I did like what I heard of them online, and got to meet them at their merch booth, got a signed poster, really cool guys.. then the first one that I watched was Zero Thereom or something like that, they were good and I enjoyed watching them, but not somebody I was crazy about enough to buy any music from.. then came Dead Girls Academy who I really enjoyed, and then finally, Adelitas Way, at 9:30, not 11:05, haha.. Great set as usual
