I seem to recall it going pretty easily for 1,000 pages when I read it one summer about 25 years ago. I really enjoyed it, and wouldn't rule out rereading, but it's a huge time commitment when there are so many other books out there, including ones by King that I haven't read yet.

I first read IT when it first came out in paperback, then I re-read it several years ago. In my humble opinion, IT is King's masterpiece. Looking forward to Part 1 of the new movie adaptation coming in September.

I read "It" once. It was a good book, but I don't think it is worth re-reading. The only Stephen King book I would consider rereading is the talisman, which he wrote with Peter Straub. I remember how much I liked it, but many of the details have faded over time. The main thing that's stopping me from rereading it is I'm not sure that I have the book anymore. I would have to look for it. And, maybe even buy it again.

I hated The Stand but considering rereading it just in case it is better second time around. The others I'd reread: Bag of Bones and the Dead Zone.

I read IT for the first time in 1990, and again a few years ago. The book held up well.

I haven't but I've thought about it.
I've reread other King novels over the years...Hearts in Atlantis, the Shining, Desperation and a dozen or so specific short stories from his collections. I've always meant to reread IT, the Stand and the DarkTower but haven't gotten to them yet.

Read it for the first (and only) time about 6 months ago. It's horribly dated and absolutely interminable. But if you like descriptions of underage gangbangs there's a section that might interest you.

For some reason that's the part that everyone clings to. I found that scene kind of forgettable.

I read it for the first time a couple years ago and I liked it a lot. I would reread it if I ever ran out of other things to read.

The length of a book doesn't tell you how easy or hard it's going to be to read.
Anyway, I read it back when it first came out.
I remember bits and pieces, that's about It.

I've read the whole thing a few times. Overall, an uneven book. While there are some absolutely brilliant horror set pieces (King is a great author for helping you to visualize the action in your own mind), it is seriously bloated. (I don't think we needed the back story on Stans' wife.) Also, King made a major misstep with THAT sequence between the Losers as kids (I'm sure you all know what I mean).

Also, King made a major misstep with THAT sequence between the Losers as kids (I'm sure you all know what I mean). I was even warned about that scene and thought it couldn't be all that bad and yet it was! I don't know what he was thinking. It was so out of place and kinda killed the momentum. Very good novel and I am interested to see how they are able to adapt it to film, there is so much in it, but I have to believe that is one scene they will leave out.
