This would include for example: DuMont Television Network The WB UPN Associated Rediffusion ATV (UK) Thames Television ....and many others
Do you have any favourite defunct networks/channels? My favourites are DuMont and Thames. (note: I go by the username Thor-Delta on IMDb)

<--I'll go for the blindingly obvious... The WB. Ah, the good ol' days of supernatural dramas and shows aimed at young women. Basically, the channel (along with UPN collecting its cancelled leftovers) that turned into the CW. Buffy, Angel (my all-time favorite!) and Roswell are all shows I really enjoy.

I'd have to say The WB and UPN are the ones I miss the most, followed by the original version of the Family Channel.

I miss Toon Disney so much. I would have no complaints with newer shows like Star vs and the new Duck Tales being on the channel.

Westinghouse. More radio than television. It's radio news was excellent, and they did have a sort of mini-TV network. Steve Allen's late night Sixties show was Westinghouse.

Trio-a Canadian channel that was on DirecTv in America. They used to show Degrassi Jr. High, The Littlest Hobo and The Racoons.
I also really miss Toon Disney and Hub. I loved Code Monkeys on G4.

Bravo, before it got taken over by the Real Housewives. They used to have all kinds of movies the other channels didn't have.

I'm glad you asked....
When BRAVO first came on the air it was a high-brow arts channel with experimental and classic films from Bergman and Fellini, Twyla Tharpe ballets, and opera.
I went abroad for a few years and when I came back it was showing "Nervous Island: Three couples survive nude at Club Med."
I miss BRAVO.

In the 1970's I remember New York City TV stations running commercials for something named WHT, which I think stood for Wometco Home Theater. It was a subscription channel that, I think, pre-dated HBO and ran fairly recent theatrical films. We didn't subscribe. It seemed far too glamorous for us. Does anyone else remember this? Or did anyone actually have it? If you did, I consider you very glamorous.

A favorite of mine that was discontinued after just 8 years for me on FIOS was Fearnet . Now most of the movies and programs ( but not all some were lost ) that were on that channel was split up between channels CHILLER and Syfy . Thanks so much Mr. Dacron for your subject post .
