Maybe the movie was not as great compare to previous ones... But the ending was original. The director did not try to fool us by having Jason dead one more time. The big log was returned where he belongs: back to the bottom of the lake.

Yeah, and it was trying to make it feel like a big climactic action sequence on this small scale and budget that they were working with.
I also generally like the movie. Maybe more than any on the series.

Jason lives is better than Manhattan, Jason Goes To Hell, Jason X & the remake.

Jason lives is better than Manhattan, Jason Goes To Hell, Jason X & the remake. All but 1 and 3, IMO. Also yeah, it was an interesting way to defeat Jason. The aspect of being stuck in the water is very reminiscent to his drowning as a child.

Matters well send in back to the bottom of the lake where he first popped out in the first Friday.

One thing I don’t get in Part 7 is, how was Tina able to bring him back to life without even looking what was down there? More importantly, does telekinesis even resurrect people in the first place?

Jason was not dead in the ending of Jason Lives, the big log was only chained to the bottom of the lake. Tina was able to moved things around by telekinesis powers, she mistakable unchained Jason from the bottom of the lake.

It can be written both ways.

It can be written both ways. If you say so. Never heard of anyone calling someone a 'big log' before. Quick google search returned no examples.

But that makes much more sense now I think about now it.

I saw Part 7 at the drive-in theater. It was different , but I felt disappointed with Jason's face...

For me it was the final chapter. Jason look was closely the same has the child from the original Friday. Part 8, the director never saw the previous ones...
Jason is a normal child with hair?

Yeah that was just dumb. Shame because I actually like the movie. Should always do your homework first. You don’t know anything going into it if you don’t.

Oddly enough Jason Lives was my least favorite of the series. I have grown to like it much more over time.
