Whenever I find myself getting depressed, if I remember to think about Cookie Mueller, I find my depressed spirit lifted every time. The way Cookie responded to life was exhilarating, so precious and enchanted. She never said no to an adventure. And from what I have read in her auto-biographical writings, every day was an adventure. As soon as she left her apartment, she was susceptible to a universal whim. She may have died young, but she packed more fun into her life than anybody I can think of. She was an original. I really do love Cookie. One of Cookie's best tellings took place in Sicily and involved a rental car, an approaching train and a midget. I would love to share this with anybody who has any curiosity about this wonderfully spirited human being who was just always in step with the universe. If you are equipped with a certain POV, you will likely this one highly entertaining, shockingly original and hilarious. It could only have happened to Cookie. (For those who aren't aware of Cookie, she was one of John Waters' original "dreamlanders". JW referred to her as a "goddess". Oh, so true!) The Stone Age - Sicily - 1976
