i never understood the over the top Doc Rivers love - weren't his Celtics teams loaded?
And ReyKahuka pointed out even that ‘08 team had trouble the first 2 rounds. The Celtics actually set a record for most games played in playoffs the year Doc won the championship. Most games would be 28 (all four series go seven). Celts that year played 26. They were a stacked team that struggled in every series. Believe it, I remember those times well. Doc was on the chopping block a lot. I never gave him any respect. He's an ex-Knick, I love the guy, but he was a disaster (and still is) as a coach when it comes to big time games. His work with the Clippers this year was atrocious. He had zero control over that team. Psychos like Beverley, Harrell, and Morris were running the asylum. Even Lou Williams did his own thing (leaving the bubble to go to a strip club). That team deserved what came to them - the humiliation of blowing a 3-1 lead to Nuggets. And there's no surprise that Doc got canned.

Just like the Sixers. The difference is I'm not delusional.
Remember - we have two generational talents - you have 0
LeBron is the only generational talent in the league.

Kind of underwhelmed with what he did with all the star power in L.A. - 2 times - i.e. with CP3, Blake, Jordan - then with Kawhi and PG13
That being said I think he's a better fit than the apparent number 2 choice - Mike D'Antoni
The pieces here don't fit for a D'Antoni squad and rumor has it - if he gets the job - he's going to request how to assemble the team - which may mean the end of one of Embiid or Simmons tenure here - which I really don't want to see - I'd rather build around them
The apparent #3 is Ty Lue who they met with yesterday
I'd go -
1. Rivers 2. Lue 3. D'Antoni (really wouldn't be upset with this if they pulled off some mega deals and surrounded Simmons with guards/shooters/wings and went small ball moving Ben to the 5 - Joel would be used as bait to grab a PG/Combo Guard/3&D Wing and 2 1st Round Picks. There's been other rumors Ben would be the one swapped - I'm pretty much against that. If you have to trade one of the two - Embiid - he's older, has nagging injuries and seems like he'll never mature - might want to get some big assets for him while you can)

Something tells me Giannis and Dame's have been dropping for a while. Luck I think had been #1.

They're primed for a 3-1 series choke. They'd have to get a 3-1 series lead first.

Lakers beat the Heat and up in the series 2-0
Kind of 'Meh' - this is what I meant when the I stated the World wanted the 'Sexy Matchup' - Lakers vs. Sixers
Nobody cares about the Heat
At least Lakers/Sixers - the people would be talking and this would be getting some pub and press

Sixers were the one team out there that could match up with them with their size.

Heat avoid falling in a 3-0 hole, win it 115-104.
