Be interesting to hear the whole album remixed, but I must admit, listening to this it does smack a bit of lazy money-grubbing. It's just cut short and the tremors have gone. Monster is my favourite album of theirs as well. I'm interested to hear what I Took Your Name sounds like. Good to see Monster getting exposure again but not very impressed by this remix.

Great album which was not really in need of a remix...The muddier mix worked for the crunchy sound they were going for. From what I have read, what the remix mainly does is boost the vocals and put them more up front...an unnecessary move...

This is not the official remix but the guy did a good job. "I extracted the 6 channels from the DVD-A version of Monster and mixed the tracks" he says. Stipe's vocal pronunciations are a joy to listen to (and the brief cow-bells are kept in the mix!)
