The David Cronenberg cut of Rocky? Jk. Nice one. Definitely got a chuckle out of me.

The Sentinel? I’m just looking up Burgess Meredith and seeing the possible selections.

Not seen it in, since summer of 2017. But it was either that, or I would have probably went with one of the Howling films. Here is a new challenge:

Well, I will be away for a few hours, and thought I should just put in another clue or image in the meantime:

Watchers it is. I know it ain't exactly no sci-fi/horror "masterpiece", but I have always enjoyed it, kind of a feel-good/cozy atmosphere at times, yet Michael Ironside kind of ruins a bit of that, with being such a nasty piece of work, and well, I did catch of a few of the sequels during last years October Horror Challenge, and I thought they were never as good or entertaining as the first one. Still, I need to see the fourth relese, which I am sure was released much later on, and featured Mark Hammill, but not seen that since summer of 2003.

I think I actually like the second film the best. Watchers Reborn was okay. Hamill is in cranky, sour mode as a burnt out police detective. Forgettable though as I cannot remember any plot details despite seeing in the last year or so. Watchers 3 however did nothing for me. Wings Hauser couldn’t save it.

Hm, that face looks quite familiar, but from which film? Well, I will have to go with Innocent Blood (1992), which I believe featured a an older guy in a hospital, with similar looking face/eyes, and I think also Linnea Quigley had a small part, as one of the nurses.

That was Don Rickles as an vampire, right? I saw Innocent Blood actually on Christmas Eve, not sure why, but I decided to give it ago, and while I may have to re-watch it again later on, I quite enjoyed the performances of Robert Loggia, and the black comedy parts. I was not prepared for that kind of comedy, and maybe expected something more serious.

I like the idea of doing that kind if genre mashup, and John Landis would seem like the perfect guy to make such a thing, but it never quite nails down what it's going for. Entertaining enough though.

Larry Cohen’s ridiculously crazy 90s thriller ‘The Ambulance’. Eric Roberts pretty much being Eric Roberts... full mullet in action as he rushes around the city like a headless chook. Rambling on about a phantom ambulance, like no other could. Who knew watching Earl Jones go to town chewing on his gum could be so transfixing. That wide mouth grin!? A lot dark humour seeps out this Cohen film.

A lot dark humour seeps out this Cohen film. That is pretty much a perfect way of describing this enjoyable horror-comedy ride, one which actually is both fun as hell, romantic, action filled and at times kind of creepy/scary as well. Not a bad way of making a film about an evil doc, riding around in an old Ambulance along with his goon squad in the streets of New York, picking up "lucky" victims to bring into his house of hell. I need to re-watch it some day, as it is always a blast watching Roberts, Red Buttons and Earl Jones in this one, and have been thinking of upgrading it, once more, towards Blu-ray, as I think this would surely benefit from such an release.
