Larry Cohen’s ridiculously crazy 90s thriller ‘The Ambulance’. Eric Roberts pretty much being Eric Roberts... full mullet in action as he rushes around the city like a headless chook. Rambling on about a phantom ambulance, like no other could. Who knew watching Earl Jones go to town chewing on his gum could be so transfixing. That wide mouth grin!? A lot dark humour seeps out this Cohen film. That is pretty much a perfect way of describing this enjoyable horror-comedy ride, one which actually is both fun as hell, romantic, action filled and at times kind of creepy/scary as well. Not a bad way of making a film about an evil doc, riding around in an old Ambulance along with his goon squad in the streets of New York, picking up "lucky" victims to bring into his house of hell. I need to re-watch it some day, as it is always a blast watching Roberts, Red Buttons and Earl Jones in this one, and have been thinking of upgrading it, once more, towards Blu-ray, as I think this would surely benefit from such an release. All of that, plus it has the first ever Stan Lee cameo.

Not Island of Terror. added two more clues. 1st clue - British. 2nd clue - Set on an island. 3rd clue - a slasher prototype. 4th clue - 3 word UK title name. I think I know. I haven't seen it, but might have come across this one in my looking for lighthouses as horror film settings fetish. Can I guess, even though I've not watched what I think it may be? Yeah, that’s fine. You don’t need to see the film to be able guess it. Obviously it helps. But it doesn’t mean you cannot take a shot.

I'm talking to myself here... This is like pulling teeth.
It's 'The Hallow' (2015) alright.
I thought there can't be too many flaming scythes in horror films. It was a good still to guess.
Now, somebody else have a go... Guessing is more fun than setting.
