Yep, the 1993 Body Snatchers. I remember getting that one mixed with some Donald Sutherland sci-fi/horror film, also of the 90s, with a similar themed name, but where as the Abel Ferrara film, somehow did not impress me, too much. Saw it some years ago, and yeah, compared to the superior 50s and 70s versions, it just felt a bit "tame". Anyway, I guess the film I actually later on thought it could be, turned out to be wrong. But since I hit right the first time, I decided to make good use of it, with this next challenge: I think that's the only version of the Invasion of the Body Snatchers that I haven't seen... for whatever reason. I know it's not especially well regarded, but I was always curious just for the completionist in me and the Abel Ferrara of it all.

Yep, it came with quite a good/solid cast, and some of the special effects where not bad either. Still, I just, I guess never quite loved it, as much as the others.

I checked out that YouTube channel, by the way. Lots of good stuff that hasn't been pulled down somehow. Some of that stuff is also on Amazon prime, which has a surprisingly good selection of exploitation movies included, but that channel also has stuff that I haven't seen elsewhere. I liked that you could tell he was uploading from a VCR. The opening screens and the 'tracking' lines were a nice inclusion. I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not, but the local Alamo Drafthouse here, when it was still open, had a monthly program called Video Vortex where they would screen movies from a VCR on the big theater screen, and they'd be those sorts of movies that were just getting their DVD release or in some cases only had ever been on VHS. Sometimes they'd be even more obscure and have collections of people home movies or local stuff that never made it out of local video store markets. I miss those screening.. hope they come back soon.

Glad you found it interesting, hopefully it might deliver some great entertainment for a long while, as yeah, I am quite (positively so) surprised, that some of these channels, have so damn many incredible hard to find/yet also very famous titles, being uploaded, yet other similar channels, stay up for a few weeks (or even less than that) and get taken down, with just a couple of videos included. Speaking of some absolute great channels, of these kind of cult-films, I almost forgot, another one, that I think you might love as well: I decided to put into the spoiler tag, as I have noticed that a few times, when having recommended similar sites, the posts have suddenly disappeared, out of the blue. Just noticed this site, a couple of days ago, but damn, so much interesting and hard to find, films, have been uploaded the last week, and I am kind of scared that it will soon also suffer the same fate, as so many other of these neat looking movie channels. Yeah, I also love the opening screens, the sounds and crackling noises, only thing left out, is the smell of VHS tapes and covers.

As a bit of a hint, we a certainly talking about one of the "healthier" horror-adventures. But one, I guess comes with quite a negative side effect to it. As there are slim chances of surviving the rather nasty end results, but at least you will go out, with a fit body and mind.

Nope. This one is , well, a bit more crazy and weird but in a very entertaining way. Also, not an american horror movie.

The nasty, & gooey 90s ‘Body Melt’. Bonkers Aussie film with a take no prisoners approach. That is absolutely correct. The film, I were thinking about, when I saw the former challenge picture, the lady in the bathtub with worm or "spaghetti" coming out of her face/nose, but decided to include in the next challenge. Body Melt feels like the perfect one, to go along with other similar nasty, slimy and delicious weird/hilarious splatter/body-horror films, with a large dose of some dark comedy, such as Street Trash (1987), Class of Nuke 'Em High (1986) and of course the work of Stuart Gordon/Brian Yuzna and later on the earlier days of Peter Jackson. Then again, Body Melt with Dead Heat (1988) and The Hidden (1987), would surely be quite a great late night mini-movie marathan, as well.

Re-watching that insane trailer, and knowing it parodies the whole body-horror/healthy business. Then I guess maybe The Stuff (1985) would be the best way of spending a double billed horror comedy night, along with Body Melt.

I've had it on my list for a long time but never knew much about it. I'll check it out.

Very reductive reasoning here since I don't really recognize the image, but that looks very 70s, and that guy looks extremely English, and maybe the only movie I know that fits the 70s/English/Subway(tube) horror movie checklist is: Raw Meat?

Yep, Raw Meat. I was thinking after I posted the pic, the image of them on a train might (unknowingly) add to the clues. I remember liking it well enough. Especially Donald Pleasance’s cranky police captain performance. Sometimes gruesome, but the film also had a cheeky sense of humour.

I enjoyed while not remembering much about it to the point that I watched Raw Meat and then months later put on a movie called Death Line and it took me about a half hour to realize that it was the same movie.
