Do you have ‘Propaganda’ by Sparks? If you don’t have that, then your great album collection is incomplete.

Do you have Skid Row's self-titled album? If you don't have that, then your great album collection is incomplete.

Only got 2 more great albums to buy. Then I will got every great album ever made... The amount of great albums is not finite. Great albums are released every year. But the thing is autotune and protools and autocorrecting and things of that nature are in abundance now.
So it becomes like that, now. For popular music acts.
Im not using the correct terminology but you know what I mean. It is like, you cannot Have a hit song, without all the above things. I mentioned. Because personally I only care about hit making artists. But obviously not from this decade. All of the hits have been crap.
So, imo the last time we had hit making artists that were actually good...or at least had one or 2 songs that were good was from the early to mid 90,s at the latest. And some of those songs are classics. But nothing from the last ten years will be.
So the difference is, imho is that today the hit songs are not actually good.

This entire post is meaningless. So called "hit" artist rarely made the best music and that's been true for quite some time. If you choose to pigeonhole yourself in any way, you'll never have a genuine great album collection.

I personally don't care what is popular, what's considered a hit, what gets played on the radio, or any of that. There is more music readily available today than at any time in human history. It's a shame you're limiting yourself so.

The amount of great CLassicaL music is finite... Technically not true either, the passage of time will always ensure than more music becomes "classic".
