Enjoy. Disclaimer: The usual. I had nothing to do with this video or any video. I still have ambitions of making my own videos someday which may never be realized. We'll see how it goes. My thoughts: Where is the Shakespeare family today? Didn't William Shakespeare have kids? Have you ever known anyone with the last name of Shakespeare? I haven't. It strikes me that if Shakespeare's descendants today never did anything worthy of note themselves they would still be famous for being descendants of William Shakespeare. What do YOU think?

Yes I used to work with someone called Christopher Shakespeare. I don't think there was a relation though.

Shakespeare had one son who died and two daughters.
One daughter's kids died before they married and had their own and the other had a daughter.
None would likely keep their maiden name.
However, William came from a pretty big family, so maybe it's a common name, but not in the States.

Will's sister Joan, 5 years his younger, married William Hart, a hatter who was roughly in the same profession of leather worker as father John Shakespeare who was a glover. The Hart family and descendants lived in Stratford into the 19th century. Something I read a long, long time ago said that Hart descendants still lived in the U.S and Australia but I don't know where that came from nor can i find any conformation now. The Joan Shakespeare article on Wikipedia makes the same claim about modern people carrying Shakespeare DNA but the article itself cannot back it up.

I love to join in with most discussions of Shakespeare - EXCEPT nonsense about the man that cannot be backed-up by documentary evidence. For instance, I was happy to provide some facts about the Shakespeare family of Stratford and modern individuals with that surname.
Also, any kind of "Bible code" theory pretty much disgusts me. The Biblical texts were written for a specific audience and addressed specific historical situations. There are no "codes" that have lain hidden for thousands of years just waiting for some TV or radio religious fraud to discover in 2019 and post a YouTube video about it.

Some of us find it interesting nonetheless.
