My favorite film in the franchise, despite poor Heather looking so ill. Lots of fun with trick effects and mirrors. Mirrors are some scary sh--.

I have the Scream Factory blu but have not watched it yet.
II is scarier(all due to Julian Beck) and a better movie but I do like III better. Yeah, the mirror effects really creeped me out when I first saw it. At the drive-in with my aunt & cousin in Tennessee.
Towards the end of the movie a storm rolled in over the drive-in, which made it even more unsettling. And on the ride back we stopped for Krystal burgers. Great memory.

The worst of the trilogy, and very, very bad.

I do think it is the worst, but I don't feel it's that bad. I agree with the other poster that using mirrors as the main means of terror was quite creative.

When I was a child, I liked it cause it wasn't scary. Now I find it very laughable.

It had its moments and I do like the skyscraper setting. The first in the series that I got to see very late at night cable and I found it to be very enjoyable back then, but after seeing the first film, and having a re-watch of the third one, 15 years later, it became clear that it went downhill pretty fast afterwards the orginal film from 1982. I agree on the skyscraper part, I enjoyed the same thing with Gremlins II: The New Batch (1990), and the third Poltergeist film did bring along some neat looking special effects/scenes, but over all I think a kind 5/10 is as high as I can go with my rating.

Saw this at the movies and absolutely hated it. The little girl looked like she had chipmunk cheeks, and everywhere she went--and I mean, EVERYWHERE--there was either a mirror, a puddle of water, or a mirrored, shiny surface. Just awful.
