Because that worked so well the last time.
I like Broderick but he was miscast as was Rupert Everett, even if he did get a few laughs out of me.

WHY? ?? As a kid it was fine. It was cool to see a live action Inspector Gadget, but watching it now I realize it has so little to do with the cartoon. Matthew was totally miscast. I’d say they should get Steve Carell for this since he played Maxwell smart in the Get Smart movie, but he’s too old. Jon Hamm maybe? What makes Disney think they can get it right the 2nd time?

Honestly...Carell isn't a bad choice. His voice and delivery would be a better fit.

Why do this? Inspector Gadget was a cool cartoon but it doesn't work as a live action film. This is the very definition of a shit remake.

Any property can work as a movie as long as it has the right care for it. Also no to Charlie day. While I like him he’s too goofy and his voice is too high pitched.

Broderick and Everett weren't miscast I don't think you know what you're talking about. The film was shit but not due to the castings.

I've never gotten how or why reboots of films that were colossal fails the first time out get greenlighted. Tends to give credence to the notion that there are just too many drugs available out there in Hollywoodland.

John Cena should be Dr.Claw since you never see him.

Peter Serafinowicz would be a decent Claw too.

If it were about the MAD Agents, I'd maybe pay to see that.

Damn that was bad, I'm still not sure why they would like to give it another go.
