I liked Breaking Bad well enough, but honestly, this doesn't really excite me that much.

I am surprised by the lack of excitement for this movie. I would have thought this would be The Movie to run to see..

Nope. Seeing a sequel to a TV show in the cinema doesn't make sense to me. If this is the conclusion to his storyline then it should be viewed in the same format as the one he began his journey in. On TV. It's bad enough that it's only a movie and not another series. But to watch it in a room full of people munching on popcorn and using their phones? No thanks.

I am surprised by the lack of excitement for this movie. I would have thought this would be The Movie to run to see.. 2 reasons: 1) It's hard to be excited for a 2 hour movie that is following up from a 60+ hour epic. That's like having a massive juicy, delicious steak and then having 1 m&m for desert. Don't get me wrong, I love BB and Jesse is one of my favorite characters of all time, and I've been waiting 6 years for a sequel with him, but not like this. He deserves his own show like Saul . So I am excited, but not as much as I would be had this sequel been done properly. 2) It is the "movie to run to see", but at home. It makes no sense to go to see it in the cinema, because the main reason to go to the cinema these days is to avoid spoilers in the 3 months or so wait for it to come out on Blu-ray. But when it's going to be released digitally on the very same day, what is the point of leaving home? Especially with large tv's and projectors being so affordable these days. Cinema is dead. Not that the above should really apply, since Breaking Bad is not cinema, it's TV. So it should be viewed at home. And I plan to watch it as soon as humanly possible on the day of release.

No. I feel like I should watch the show first. Funny enough, everyone I know assumes it's one of my favorite programs.

So you're on a forum called Internet Media Discussion Boards and you haven't seen one of the greatest pieces of media ever created? What are you still doing here? Go start watching it now.

I also don't see an option for "watch on AMC" or "will download it". Not everyone uses Netflix you know.

Not everyone uses Netflix you know. well then you will have to wait some time to watch it... so.. if you dont want to wait and dont want to try netflix maybe you could see it on a big screen? I recommend theatre likr alamo where they have a Very Strict no phones no talking policy and Will drag people out after one warning. its for true film lovers only.

While I still got a couple of movies or so to see that could have potential, currently 'El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)' is my #1 movie of 2019 at the moment.
p.s. the movie I still got to see are... The Irishman/Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which are the two I got the most hopes for (they are what I suspect have the best chance of challenging El Camino), and behind those two... Ford v Ferrari/Ad Astra and a little beyond that like Terminator: Dark Fate etc.
