Juan Dixon grew up thinking his father had died, and when Maryland won the national title 15 or so years ago, they mentioned it all the time on TV during the games. Then recently he finds out through an improbable sequence of events that his real father is actually alive. One of the more bizarre sports stories I've come across. He ended up hitting it off with his real dad but sadly, a rift was created with his brother who he was very close with growing up, and who has a different father.
