I was looking forward to this, but Wiseman? Really? Why would anyone in their right mind hire this hack?

Wow... Just realized I've never watched any of the movies. Are they worth watching? First two are great. So is the third for like the first 30-40 minutes but getting feeling now that the franchise is overstaying its welcome.

Not thrilled. Female assasin movies simply dont work as well as male assasin movies. (Atomic Blonde as an example).
If a girl is 110-130 pounds and the director puts her into a physical hand to hand combat with a 220 guy or TWO (looking at you Atomic Blonde!) and she doesnt have superpowers its simply laughable UNLESS the said woman is Gina Carano and the movie is Haywire thats the Only woman lead assasin movie that worked for me.
Red Sparrow was also laughable. Everywhere where they dont just shoot or use poison its bad.
So no, not excited about Ballerina.

Looks like they hired Emerald Fennell. Check out the full statement from de Armas below: "It was really important for me to hire a female writer, because to that point when I got involved in the project, it was only the director, Len Wiseman, and another guy. And I was like, ‘That’s not going to work.’ So I interviewed, like, five or six female writers. We hired Emerald Fennell, which I was so proud of.”
