If you don't know, it's the Breaking Bad movie on Netflix that's about what happens to Jessie after we saw him last on the show. The teasers did absolutely nothing for me, but the full trailer was pretty good, and I ended up really liking the movie.

Just watched it.
As a serious doubter of this movie’s relevance and quality, I’m super impressed. I loved it.

It’s good, but it felt more like an extended episode of the show than an actual movie.

I flat out LOVED it! May be a bit biased as I am a HUGE Breaking Bad fan.
10/10
will add more thoughts on it later but as of right now, its my favorite film of 2019

I watched about 45 minutes but fell asleep. Not because it was bad but courtesy of the indica buzz I had going, I knocked out earlier than expected. Bit mad I fell asleep but I can’t wait to finish it. Was great up to that point.

I thought it was lame. They should have ended it with Jesse joining Dexter as a lumberjack.

I'll echo that it felt like an extended (or 2-part) episode, but I don't really feel like that's a bad thing. Any two episodes of BrBa are better than most movies coming out.
As much as I loved the show and was satisfied by the end, I thought Jesse got a raw deal and no real closure. The finale was all about Walt and the fate of Jesse (who was practically a co-main character) was treated like an afterthought. This was everything that was missing from that finale for me.
Also great to get more of Meth Damon, even though he's obviously way more bloated than he was in the show. I always felt season 5 lacked a good antagonist. Apparently they had one but just underused him.

I’d say Midsommar and John Wick 3, JW3 being the only JW movie I like but oh man did I really like it. Such a crowd pleaser and cathartic time at the theater. Midsommar because Aster’s style is just jaw dropping to me. 2019 has been pretty bad but it’s been looking good with both Joker and Camino this month and The Lighthouse/Uncut Gems/1917 all releasing soon.

Great choices for your top films dude! I asked because I think I see eye to eye with ya on film taste (judging from your posts over time). And oh I agree regarding this year has been pretty lackluster overall so far. Hopefully it picks up and also (like you) I am looking forward to The Lighthouse.

Rewatched the shootout just for the hell of it and my goodness is that an excellent scene. From the long-take of Jesse climbing into the Kandy Welding lot to the strange camera angles with the coked-up welders, it’s just awesome.
I will say, I wish the killing of the second guy wasn’t so extended. They just keep missing each other and it’s kind of silly, but other than that it’s just a badass scene of Jesse finally standing up instead of rolling over.

I thought El Camino was quite good. In the beginning I thought it was really taking its sweet time in getting the story in motion, but then when everything started to fall into place it turned out to be a real rollercoaster ride. And when I noticed the movie was at the 90 minute mark, I thought "There's no way this could be over in 30 minutes!" In other words, I was wishing the movie could go on even longer!
It was a pleasure to see such cameos from Badger, Skinny Pete, and Mike Ehrmantraut. But the real treat was the late Robert Forster as Ed Galbraith. That scene with Ed and Jesse in the vacuum cleaner shop was absolutely hysterical, and of course I mean that in a positive way.
And just like in the TV series, there is some nice breath-taking cinematography of the New Mexico landscape, which adds some flavor.
