I would put it in the Plausible section, but not the probable one.

$5 billion for movie rights? Yeah, I’m gonna have to call bullshit. That’s more than what Disney spent to buy Marvel in the first place. Also, why would this be wishful thinking? Spider-Man’s still in the MCU. What difference does it make if his movies aren’t distributed by Disney?

Wishful thinking in that they would not just control Spiderman for 1 or 2 more movies, but for as many movies they want. Plus all the secondary and tertiary characters. We see what Sony was trying to make their Universe with Amazing Spiderman 2 and the Sinister 6. Venom was meh, and Morbius could go either way. Marvel would be planning all those things instead of Sony.

They just don’t seem like the kind of characters he would be interested in. From what I understand, the only reason we’re even getting Blade in the MCU is because Mahershala Ali managed to persuade Feige into casting him as the character.

You could be right, but those were just examples we have now. If we are going to have a larger Spider-man Secondary Characters getting movies a lot of Fanboys would rather have Feige controlling them instead of Sony. It's all just rumors and wishful thinking by fanboys.

Also it would get the family back underneath Marvel's permanent control (except Hulk) which lots of people want.

Don't see that happening unless Sony decides to sell its movie studio

Unless Feige goes mad with power, it seems unlikely.
