I'd say it handled trauma in a very realistic and mature way. Fat Thor wasn't funny at all, but I don't think he was meant to be.

Films can have more than one tone, you know. They call it variety. Stops things from getting stale.

And CGI is less valid an art form because...

As someone who has fought Depression and Anxiety my whole life, I can say it's a pretty accurate representation of it. Even playing it off for laughs is appropriate. 15 years ago I was involuntarily held for 2 months at a Hospital. I had never laughed or made people laugh as much than in those 2 months. The doctors saw through it as it's a defense mechanism. Making Thor's depression both tragic and funny is pretty fucking spot on.

Most mature films would go for how Thomas Wayne or Xavier Handled depression and anxiety in DOFP or FlashPoint. zero play for laughs.
Endgame is more immature than mature for that. As you can see, Fat Thor is a bad rep. Only devoted MCU zombies still defend it.

It took a while but finding the right medications and type of therapy has worked wonders. Thanks.

In my 41 years and 364 days, I have noticed that in most cases people who are preoccupied with the concept of Maturity in life or in art fall into 2 categories. Teenagers who are trying show the world that they aren't kids anymore and Adults whose emotional development is that of teenagers.

That you use how depression and anxiety (and trauma) is portrayed in some of your favourite CBMs as a gauge for how it should be represented elsewhere in fiction or real life, is frankly pretty fucked up. And not very mature.

And not very mature. its not fucked up. its more realistic. You have no grasp of reality at all if you think that is the only way those problems manifest themselves.

Is your career as a lawyer going well? Did you win your case at the Supreme Court when Black Panther broke the laws of the reality of what’s going on?

Is your career as a lawyer going well? Did you win your case at the Supreme Court when Black Panther broke the laws of the reality of what’s going on? I think as a lawyer he should use his position to re-open the case into Robin Williams "suicide". I mean his problems didn't manifest themselves in public the way they did for Thomas Wayne or Xavier in DOFP or FlashPoint. It couldn't have been suicide for those reasons. Or maybe he just wasn't mature.

I'd say it's more mature than you based on your replies. Seriously the comments you posted on this thread on depression and anxiety prove you are extremely immature and ignorant on this matter like you are most of the time.

Films can have more than one tone, you know. They call it variety. Stops things from getting stale. Yeah, but they need to be balanced or none of the mixing genres/tones work. The MCU has a tonal shift problem for sure, and what makes it more frustrating is that you can tell that the writers force stupid humor or absurd sentimentality into spots that don’t need it because they think it’s what the people need in order to enjoy the movie instead of what the characters or story actually need. Perfectly done drama/comedy tonal balance is embodied in Raimi’s first two Spider-Man movies.

An immature person like thenolan sock puppet has no business judging the maturity of a film.
