I'm not disrespecting or belittling anything, but this little chat is going to get really nasty if you continue to pursue your delusional take on it. The Animation board has been given enough chances and more than enough time. It wasn't used, so it was removed. Build a bridge. Look, I love animation and I am by nature a polite poster. Arguments solve nothing, so let me ask you this. What do I have to do to prove to you an animation board is needed here? You had over two years to prove that. Sounds to me like yet another case of not wanting something until you don't have it anymore. The Animation board will not be restored at this time, but I appreciate the suggestion. -John

As a start everyone else in this topic has voted in favor of an animation board so there's that as well. Once again though, how much more will be needed to be done to get a board back? (I will never stop asking.)

I would guarantee more traffic than the Radio board. More threads definitely.

Animation is experiencing a renaissance period, particularly live-action and hand drawn that does not employ CG. Seems probable enough such a board, high-profile, would receive sufficient attention to make a trial balloon of about 90 days or so worthwhile. It's not graven in stone and can always be taken down if the traffic doesn't warrant it.

But it wasn't graven in stone and so it was taken down because the traffic didn't warrant it.

Giving it one final shot as a stand-alone board might work out better, and of course it can still be removed if it still tends not to draw response.

IMDB2.freeforums.net/post/3379478/thread I'd be hard put to comment on that, other than to say that in my time here, I didn't see or hear much about it.

The animation board did quite well in the first year. It did slow down a bit in the second, but didn't truly die until it was put under Genres. Even then, it was one of the more active boards there and was getting a slight revival thanks to new users. On another note, it was probably a mistake to have Animation and Anime separate. Finally united, it would create a board with above average traffic. All that said, the animation board was never completely dead and it wouldn't be dead now.

There were about 200 threads and not many more posts, and of those, only a small handful were even close to the ballpark of being recent. It was dead then and it's dead now. All I did was dispose of the corpse.

All I did was dispose of the corpse. A corpse? You call such wonderful conversations about animation, of which some new ones were brewing, a corpse? I visited the Animation board almost daily and it was most certainly not dead. Some of the new topics could have gotten more traction too if the board were front page again. Animation deserves it's own board, everyone wants it back but you.

Feeding it a little morsel once in a while just to keep it alive until you finally grew tired of it and left it to rot. You guys are monsters.

Can I be a little monster who embeds an audio clip, and if so, how? elsewhere.scdn3.secure.raxcdn.com/downloads/mp3s/03%20Neighborhood%20Bully.mp3

I'm sure it was a slow and agonizing death. Feeding it a little morsel once in a while just to keep it alive until you finally grew tired of it and left it to rot. You guys are monsters. So we're monsters now?🙄 Name calling aside, it was never left to rot, I visited it almost every day. Perhaps I should have flooded the board a bit more but I don't think anyone thought the board would get deleted. Putting it under Genres was a mistake in the first place as it's a medium not a genre. As such an important medium, it should have it's own board. As someone already mentioned, if a dying form of media like radio has it's own board, animation should as well.

There's probably a plugin or something for that...

I think maybe those don't allow members to embed their own streams. I seem to remember looking at a Soundcloud plugin once upon a time...
