So Im upgrading my Die Hard collection to Blu Ray. Looking over the 5th installment again. Everyone seems to hate this film. Im one of the few who was OK with it. Granted its the probably the least of the series and I do see the flaws in it but I dont think its near as bad as the flack it got. I still think its a rather entertaining action film. I give it a 7/10.
What do you all think of it?

The only thing that I liked about "A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD" was Yuliya Snigir.

6/10, the weakest of the series but still entertaining to a degree.

It was easily the worst of the series. It is a run of mill, forgettable, action flick, but not terrible.

I didn’t exactly hate it. But it’s extremely forgettable.

So forgettable I dont remember 1 single thing about its plot.
Massive downgrade on Die Hard 4.0 which I think is very underrated

I enjoyed it but it's definitely weaker than the first three films. I have to rate it above 4.0 (Live Free or Die Hard). The fight on top of the harrier type jet was just way over the top and ridiculous. Timothy Olyphant wasn't that menacing in my opinion and I've always thought Maggie Q had acting skills equal to a broom.
I do hate the teal/orange push though.

It's a ok Bruce Willis action flick but it isn't a Die Hard movie to me, for me the great thing about Die Hard & Willis's character is he's just a cop, in DH4 & 5 he goes from being just a cop to being the cliché action superhero, the movies lose something when this happens in my opinion.
As an action movie I give it a 5-6/10 it's fine but not great, but as a Die Hard movie however I give it a 3/10, worst of the series by far imo.

Exactly. He was even barefoot throughout most of the 1st installment, highlighting his vulnerability.

It's a forgettable final installment to a decent action series.

#3 on my worst films list from that year, absolute garbage. Beat out The Councillor which was an accomplishment.

It's a forgettable final installment to a decent action series. I really hope that it won't be the Final Movie.
I think that they should definitely make at least 1 more and send Bruce Willis out in a Good Way.

They were planning to do a prequel film titled McClane, but Alan Horn quietly cancelled it along with a slew of other Fox projects that were in development. The latest development is that it could be produced as a series for Disney+.
