Sent an e-mail to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “ Really Useful Group.” Its website pops up when you Google Kernan’s name.

I sent an e-mail to Mercury Musical Developments, an organization which lists Kernan as a member. (Poor guy—I don’t mean to track him down everywhere. I’d just love an answer to this thing! )

Wow this is getting exciting. So was he the main singing soldier in ZULU?
*I cant see images on my computer due to a weird glitch from a Firefox update (in case the answer is self evident from a photo). I am thinking of the guy who complained his associate was taken to do the bridge.

Now if only one of those companies would respond to my e-mails, it might get even more exciting... I haven’t seen Zulu, so I’m not sure who his character is. IMDb says he was Private Hitch, if that helps any.

So… is that the right guy? I am not 100% sure its the guy I am thinking of, but that was one of the most memorable dialogue scenes.

I just hope the mail actually comes, BATouttaheck! P.S. I really like his rendition of “Anyone Can Whistle” (one of my favorite Sondheim songs).

I just listened to the “Luve is Like a Red Red Rose” clip—beautifully done, from that lovely Burns poem—and, wow, Kernan’s voice sounds so similar to the Sleuth singer’s. I know that’s why we’re all here waiting for an answer, but—wow.

I didn’t see your earlier post saying you can’t see images on your computer. That’s really strange—would a different browser help? Or if I post a link to his picture? With Angela? Oh, I’d love to see her on stage. (My mom did—I can’t remember in what, though.) Obviously I wasn’t around for it, but just reading the plot and listening to the songs and watching scenes on YouTube…I don’t know why it was a flop either. I just think Sondheim’s cursed in that regard—I really like infamous flop Merrily We Go Along as well… (I can’t understand why Assassins didn’t go over well, though. The music and lyrics are excellent, but that theme…)

( i.ytimg.com/vi/7xTLg-1VfrI/hqdefault.jpg) I had an image filter thing on the computer and when the browser was updated it wouldnt let any images through. Its annoying but I'll get it fixed one of these days.
