The old timers from the old F&D board know that I'm not a good cook but I would like to "experiment" and try to make a pizza out of flatbread, cheese and sliced baby portabella mushrooms. Do I need to put olive oil or something on the flatbread and how long and what temperature do I need to bake it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. p.s. I want to avoid pizza sauce.
edit: Do I need to cook the mushrooms before I put them on the flat bread?

I've never tried it, but it sounds good. Here's a video of a young guy who says it's cheap, easy and delicious. He doesn't bake it, but uses a skillet with a lit. He "wakes up" the flatbread be giving it a bit of saute in a little oil, then adds his ingredients and cooks it covered. If I were going to try it in the oven, I would give it a light coat of olive oil, and a light salting. I would also saute the mushroom ... again, lightly ... and let them finish in the cooking. It would bring out their flavor. You probably don't need to do that, but I would. Although, bear in mind that I've not tried it. Good luck. Let us know the result. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbENCECRGD0

Thanks Divtal, I'll take your advise and sauté the mushrooms first, I'm going to try this hopefully on Friday (I have to get the ingredients first).

If you aren't going to use sauce, you probably should put a little oil on the crust. I never cook the mushrooms first when I put them on pizza, but it wouldn't hurt. Good Luck!! (and I'm proud of you for experimenting.) :-)
