I've got many coins in the oven, getting really hot, so I'm hoping they call by. And my little chocolate coated salt bon bons are ready and waiting by the door too.

I say 5-25, and it's probably going to be about in the middle. I live close to a very fancy neighborhood (on the poor side, looking in ). The folks in that district go all out, on Halloween. Early in October, the lovely homes are festooned with gigantic spider webs, ghostly figures hanging from trees, gruesome bloody body parts ... artificial, I think ... and carved pumpkins are everywhere. They, also, try to out-do each other in the "goody" department. Kids aren't stupid, and neither are their parents. My area serves as the parking lot, and they flock to Sea Cliff. My surrounding blocks attract a few, but I rarely empty a full bag of mini-bars (I bought Snickers this year, because I couldn't find Mounds, which is my fave). I'll spend much more time watching Arsenic and Old Lace, and Young Frankenstein, than I will answering the door. Add Edit: Turned out to be 7 doorbell rings. I didn't count the kids, but only one was a single "Trick-or-Treater."

Since I live in the Netherlands, 0. But I guess this poll is more focused towards the US where Halloween is celebrated a lot more.

It's been shrinking as kids and parents gravitate to easier pickings like trunk or treat, fancy neighborhoods, and the city does an event. We used to get around 60 but it has dwindled over the years to around 20-30.

We are stalling out in the mid 60's. It's cold and windy here tonight. We usually get between 100 and 200.

None. I've never had any since I've been living here. My house is too rural, too scary, and there are no kids living around here. I used to buy candy just in case, maybe because I remembered what happened to that old guy in an episode of Tales from the Darkside, but last year I stopped doing that.
Add to the above that the weather is sh_t. It's been raining on and off for three days and about midday it turned cold.

Lights out for me. Boycott Big Candy!
Mainly I don't like feeling under siege.

Usually we don't get many, but this year we seemed to get around 100 or so, significantly more than in recent years. Odd since it was rainy and very windy, to the point that it was really uncomfortable to be outside for more than 15 or so minutes. Alas, I'm glad we got rid of most of our candy so now I won't eat it at all later after a glass of scotch and some backyard fun.

We had company, I came home from the store and set a big bag of apples on the counter, looked at my wife and asked, "Where is your sewing box?" The momentary confusion of everyone in the room, then shocked looks, then uncomfortable laughter.. wish I had them on video. Prediction was 20-30, we had about 23-25 trick or treaters. There were several people handing out candy and not everyone counted.
