I'm not threatened by diversity. So, whatever, I guess.

He’s basically saying fuck racists (because that’s what people who have issues with diversity in movies are), so I agree with him.

Retard Rian building a straw man to attack. So stunning, so brave of him.

That's the way to get people who aren't fan-boys to go see your movie.
And of course, if you question forced diversity, you're a racist.
Ugh.

Diversity of thought is a good thing in my opinion, one that Johnson obviously doesn't share. However, forced diversity in a film just to satisfy a quota imposed by studio bosses is not a good thing as it is antithetical to my first position.

At least he is being honest--Star Wars was aimed at European audiences and they amped up the diversity and eventually it starts to wear thin especially it is diversity for the sake of diversity. Maybe some had problems with Lando and his remote controlled white guy but there were other things to distract from it and Lando was a successful businessman so you would expect he would have a fancy toy like Lobot. These days the main selling point IS the social message. How fun.

It's not all that different from the OT and prequels. So, yeah with Rian on this. Also *diversity*.

I like how the people who actually have a problem with what he said are divided up between those saying they don't like diversity, and those saying the people who don't like diversity are straw men.

Its not diversity most people have a problem with, its that the movie is bad.

I’m pretty are Rian is arrogant enough to think he did some kind of trailblazer of diversity

Too bad all that diversity couldn’t talk him out of the Canto Bight subplot.

People were upset with the diversity of TLJ? I thought they were upset that the movie was bad? Good thing I’m not much of a Star Wars fan.

All this is doing is continuing to bait trolls on social media. No real Star Wars fans have any problems with a diverse cast, they had a problem with all the incompetence in Johnson's Star Wars movie.

Rian Johnson is a little twerp. And its not that we hate "diversity" you fucking idiot. We hate the new lame characters, the terrible acting and the horrible subplots.
