It was big news back in the 90s. 18-year old kid supposedly murdered a little girl. He got life in prison instead of the death penalty because he pleaded guilty. He had a friend with him who could have made him stop but the friend got in no trouble because he had no legal obligation to intervene. What has always bothered me about this is that Jeremy said at some point that he remembered nothing of it because he was on drugs and doubted he committed the crime. Then at some point later the prosecutor paid him a visit and told Jeremy he had better not keep telling this story or his offer of life in prison would be revoked and Jeremy would be put to death. After that, Jeremy swore he remembered everything and offered details that were already known. That really bothers me. The more I read about it, the more certain I am it was Jeremy's friend, David Cash who killed the girl. Do some of you remember this? Any thoughts on the case?
