This is what happens when you recruit one-and-doners.

The mid majors are catching up to the big boys. Consistently, no. But you're going to see more Evansville over UK and SFA over Duke. The middies are doing a better job of scouting. The "Ja Morant Method". Scout a player with tools and coach them up. SFA has some decent looking players. That being said, these Duke recruiting class doesn't look all that good. Many 5 stars but no lottery picks. And Wendell Moore and Matthew Hurt aren't getting the job done. It won't be 1994-95 in Durham but it might be 2006-07. And, if Mike Krzyzewski losing it. Duke built teams on FT and threes. 2018-19 did neither well and neither is this team

Not a good team at all, but they fought to the end of every game. 13-18 but almost all of those games were close (under 10 points, usually under 7), 5 losses by three points or less. The half court three to put it into OT against Carolina; I think they lost three games at the buzzer that year. They were a fun team to watch.

Not one of Duke's most talented groups. Jeff Capel, Trajan Langdon and Cherokee Parks mostly. Capel was just a soph more, Langdon was never impressive. Parks was decent but never rated highly (he looked like Laettner but he wasn't Laettner and no one let him forget it). Wojo was on the team but just a freshman who didn't play much. They were 9-2 when Krzyzewski left. Right before ACC play and the conference was tough.

Not great, just a maniacal competitor; Wojo would follow his example. You have to believe they at least make the tourney if Coach K is there all season.
