13 Good Movies with DISAPPOINTING/ABRUPT ENDINGS
01. Bigger than Life - James Mason has a brief rest, instantly kicks cortisone, all desire to murder children leaves him 02. Marty - It's great that Marty calls Clara at the end of the movie; I just would liked to have seen Clara's reaction on the other end of the line, since the last image we saw of her in the movie was when she was in tears because Marty hadn't yet called her back. 03. Sweet Charity 04. American Psycho 05. Eyes Wide Shut - Shostakovich notwithstanding, not the best end to Kubrick's career 06. The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes - fine film with an hour heartlessly hacked off by MGM 07. Dogtooth - The film ends with a closeup of the car trunk, unclear as to whether the eldest has escaped, will escape, or has died in the trunk. 08. Paths of Glory - What does the singing (or the song) have to do with the story? Seriously aggravating as a denouement. 09. Fellini Satyricon - narrative actually stops in the middle of a sentence. 10. Monty Python and the Holy Grail - another deliberately abrupt ending (20th-century police show up and book everyone)
