Free air at gas station air pumps. When we started being charged for air, the end was already here. True story I've vented about here one time ago... Running a flat, I crawled my car to a local gas station for air to get home. I was only carrying plastic & the air pump was quarters & loonies only. I went inside to the cashier see if I could get emergency $0.25 cents to get home. Nothing. So I called CAA who rescued me 40mins later to tow me home. #21st century ...when 25 cents is a wall. I don't think I've had less respect for the term 'service station' since.
