Naturally, I have no trouble spelling either name; but I’ve noticed these two in particular seem to give a lot of posters some problems.

Jimmy G.
I'm not going to bother to look up to see again how you properly spell it.
It's like Tenesee, Missipi, and Jake Arrietta
Double letters confuse me.

That being said - I also had a hard time with the other guy.
Which is why I just started labeling him as Turdisky

It’s actually very easy if you just remember Garop + polo. Perhaps, but you assume I have any desire to remember that. Also, 'Garop' isn't anything, so it doesn't really help.

Jimmy G is harder to spell. People might PRONOUNCE Trubisky’s name wrong, but there’s nothing tricky about the spelling.
Giannis on the other hand, fuck that....

Which is harder to spell, Antetokounmpo or Roethlisberger? I assume people call him Big Ben less due to his size and more because they can’t be bothered to write the whole damn thing.

Remember Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala? They could barely fit his name on the back of the jersey.

Garropolo... Garappolo... I mean Garoppolo.
Krzyzewski is no problem for me, however.

I’ve learned to spell Roethlisberger and Yazstrzemski from playing Sporcle trivia games, but I will never remember Giannis’s name. Hell, I don’t know if I’m even spelling Giannis correctly.

With the SF QB, I keep thinking of the episode of the Honeymooners. They're rehearsing a play and Norton reads the line "he has a string of poloponies". Ralph is flummoxed until he figures out "It's not poloponies its Polo Ponies"
The 'Mooners was genius. When Ralph gets a letter from the IRS Norton tell him to stand on the 18th Amendment. Ralph was "you mean the 5th Amendment, the 18th was Prohibition". To which Norton says, "Exactly, tell them you were drunk when you did your taxes."

I never try to spell Garoppolo as it's so much easier and quicker to say Jimmy G so I wouldnt say that one gives me trouble. Trubisky does because I always want to add an e in there either after the u or the k. I look at it the way it's spelled and my brain just always tells me it looks off.

"Brain just says it looks off" - also true when watching Trubisky play.
