They really don't know what to do with Paterno on these lists. Sort of like OJ - - should he have been on the NFL's Top 100? Would he have been without the murders?

I don't want to get into a debate about this awful stuff, but it must be said that OJ actually was the one who committed those murders. Joe Paterno wasn't the guy raping boys in the locker rom. And in both cases, if we are basing these selections purely for what was accomplished on the football field, then both men deserve their places on their respective lists.

Urban Meyer #46?
Three national titles (in two different conferences), an undefeated season at Utah and another 12-0 season at Ohio State in 2012 when they were banned from postseason play (so maybe another national title?). Three titles, two undefeated seasons and more victories than anyone in the same amount of time gets you 46th?
Morally he's on his own, but the guy can flat out coach. To me it's mind boggling that he isn't top 10, let alone 46th.

150?? I wonder how many hot dinners those guys could buy for student athletes.
I'll guess around 19 million.

I gotta give ESPN credit for some rare restraint. I figured they would have had Dabo Swinney #7 or something on this list.

But a lot of kids got raped because Paterno did nothing. You sure as hell can't honor him. I quit going to Penn State games after they did a few years ago. The Romans had a thing called Damnatio Memoriae, where evil people had all traces of their life erased. In the aftermath, Penn State just wanted it to go away. The guilty were punished, lets move on. But the university had to pull him out of mothballs
I met Sandusky. Only one way to put it creepy. My first wife interviewed him for a journalism class. She was visibly shaken afterwards and she couldn't put her finger on why. When the news first broke, the headline was "Former Penn State football official named in alleged child scandal.: I knew who it was immediately. That creepy smile came to mind

Was he not? 3 monster seasons, 2002 yards in only 14 games, but only 2 others with over 800 yards, and was a non-factor in his only playoff game - 32-14 loss to the Steelers, 15-49 with a long of 11 yards, but did have a 3 yard TD catch.
