He's in Monte Hellman's absurd, minimalist western, The Shooting, with Jack Nicholson. One of my favorites of the genre. Unfortunately, not too many good pictures available.   Wow, that's one I've never seen or even heard of, and I'm a big Jack fan as well. Must find and watch. |

"The Shooting" is an excellent film. Other westerns in this vein include "The Hired Hand" and "Culpepper Cattle Company"

One thing I've learned from this thread? EVERY picture of Warren Oates is a cool picture of Warren Oates.
