I am certain I will have nightmares about cats for months thanks to this. Came home and almost squashed my own cat in a hug. The imagery was more disgusting and disturbing than I would've liked as a cat lover. Although I have to admit this docuseries threw me for a loop. You don't know into the very last moment, you have doubts all the while. Mother's love is absolutely unshakeable by anything, and this proves the point to a T. Her point of view of her son is sort of "understandable". But bloody hell.. no. I just can't wrap my head around this. This is a whole new level. I have seen a lot of documentaries about murderers, but this one is something else.

I’m watching it right now. Very good documentary series.
I’m familiar with the case. I actually saw the 1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick video back then. Sick shit.

Looks like You Tube was very lenient back then. They are just as guilty.

I remember the case... Cool that they focused on those that tracked him down. On the other hand it's probably making the Sicko happy they made a documentary on him... I can't handle watching it... The things he did are complete nightmare fuel.

I didn’t think I would enjoy it or anything obviously. Thought it would make me feel bad and it did. But sometimes morbid curiosity gets the best of you.

I'm with you, don't want to see it From what I read, if the authorities had acted sooner when it was being reported that he was killing kittens then his escalation could have been avoided These are the kind of people the death penalty was made for. I think being put to death wouldn't even phase someone like that

It is like watching The silence of the lambs for the first time, just multiply your anxiety level with 100.

I read most of this thread thinking it’s about Cats the movie, just with a funny title for the thread. As you can imagine it was pretty funny till about half way through. Especially @poes second post...
As a cat lover and a person protective of their inner peace I will not watch the series, thank you for warning.

Is it very graphic? If so, I won't watch it.

The camera blurs things out and averts its gaze for the nastier stuff and uses narration to explain what was going on. Still disturbing, but it lets you off the hook a bit.

"Luka Magnotta"
Look at that piece of shit, he's exactly what a killer looks like. A weasly little cocksucker. I hope he gets stabbed to death in prison.

I'm still of two minds as to whether or not to watch it. If anything involving animal cruelty shocks you, DONT watch it. Yes they blur some stuff out, but somehow thats worse because your mind still fill in the blanks.

Refuse to watch this, and feel tempted to complain to Netflix over their airing of it. It does no more than glorify this POS, whether or no that was its intent, and will only validate other sick minds who might be inclined to do this sort of thing--as well as handing them a sort of how-to manual. The need to present as some form of 'entertainment' works such as this--which, once again wittingly or otherwise, enshrine cruelty and abuse as a sort of titillating show--is becoming ever more ubiquitous and disturbing as a trend in media culture both in the US and abroad. It says nothing good about us as a species.
As for the bastard detailed in this documentary, he's already had enough publicity pointed his way, thank you very much. Let him rot in jail forgotten, forsaken, and the more vengeful part of me hoping he gets an at least occasional taste of his own medicine.
