This movie was. NOt that great. Non stop and cheesy, I did not find the humor funny, I did not find the emotional parts emotional, there was an overrilance on closeups, I'm not sure why the characters kept facing away from the middle of the screen during dialogues. Palpatine did not feel like palpatine, and right off the bat I knew I was not going to like this film. I did not feel invested at all and I'm not sure why. It just felt empty. It felt more like a Video game than a movie.
Visuals were great though and had some nice ideas on some of the battle and fight scenes and the scenery/settings therein. I give it an A- for cinematography, but a c+ for pretty much everything else. Or maybe a c. I would give it a d but the budget was so big. Well maybe c is fair
Some of the trailers looked good like top gun 2 and james bond.

I should also mention I fell asleep pretty much from the part rey did something and somehow ended up at palpatine chamber to when she kissed kylo. Also the best parts of the movie were when I saw Rose.

And yet it has nearly double TLJ's audience score on RT.

The last I've heard, B+ is a good grade. I mean if you were a kid in school you'd be happy to get such a good grade.

The last I've heard, B+ is a good grade. I mean if you were a kid in school you'd be happy to get such a good grade. B and above is considered a good to great score, so B+ is a good grade but it's also on the lower sider of the good score card, the score is less about actual quality though at times and how much the movie matched it's marketing, about 10% of the "bad" scores Cinemascore give out are to critical or fan favs, just happens to be the films marketing confused some fans in regards to what the movie will be like.
This is a good sign though if the average multiplier to score ratio holds, a B+ film's total box office tends to be on average 3-3.2 it's opening weekend, so if TROS gets the current estimates of $190m opening weekend domestically it's looking at about $570-608m which then if the general 50/50 nature of SW box office holds up between domestic and international should bring TROS to around $1.14-1.21b overall, still a considerable drop from TLJ but enough to atleast make it a success, though anything can happen but this leaves me hopeful personally.

Oh no. Not a.....B+. Who the F is Cinemascore btw? The kid brother to Rotten Tomatoes. From Wikipedia: "....CinemaScore is a market research firm based in Las Vegas. It surveys film audiences to rate their viewing experiences with letter grades, reports the results, and forecasts box office receipts based on the data."
