Anyone remember these (though they are still going). My guess is this will only be the Brits that will remember or know about these. I started reading these in the early 60s up until early 70s or thereabouts. They were great fun if a little bit of the quintessential "Tommy" and the hated "Hun". They did have facts about military planes, guns etc in them that was fascinating to gen up on. www.commandocomics.com/category/collection/

Sold off most of the individual issues but I do have some of the compendiums. As a kid I was more into Marvel and the weekly war comics like Warlord and Battle.

I read a few Warlord comics, they were later. With Commando they were from the same publishers that did the Beano and the Dandy and along with The Topper and The Beezer were also comics I read regularly. I was a DC comics kid myself (still am, still collecting) and also read The Eagle, TV21 and 2000 AD
