cricket etc instead of your own sports?
Imagine if the New England Patriots, or NY Giants or Green Bay Packers or Chicago Bears played real football. You could be competing with the giants of European football, like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Man United etc. Be a lot more exciting wouldn't it?
And USA would be able to properly compete in the football, rugby and cricket world cup, pitting yourselves against the world's best in sport.
It isn't really a big loss to us not having you guys on board, but a bit of you must feel like you are missing out?

No. Every four years, i'd guess, some might wish our best athletes played soccer, but otherwise, not really.
Do you ever get tired of this douchey I-hate-Americans schtick?

The original question was pretty innocent in fairness, then I couldn't resist the joke when you bit. When I was a very young kid, English clubs were banned from European competition indefinitely with no end in sight, so I remember thinking it was a shame that we couldn't see the best English clubs at the time compete against the best in Europe. So it did feel like we were missing out, I'd never seen English teams play against teams of other countries. So I was just wondering if fans of the big American Football teams kind of feel the same? I suppose I could phrase the question another way, do you wish Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona etc played American Football instead, which would bring that extra dynamic, and you'd be compete against the best of other countries.

Fuck no! I want to watch a game where a few points are scored on a regular basis. You might enjoy it more though, when a goal actually means something. I admit actually, basketball is a really fun game to play, I really enjoyed it at school, really enjoyed it, but I tried to get into watching it, when Michael Jordan, Scotty Pippen and that guy with the funky hair that's always hanging out with Kim Jong Un were playing for the Chicago Bulls, but where is the excitement in watching a team scoring 100 points a game? Anyway, this thread isn't about which sport is best, we're all gonna say our own sports are better, this is about 'would you prefer it if there was more worldwide competition?' if the sports were a bit more 'standardised'?

Any globally competitive sport or competition has a little extra flavor for me, that is why I love the Olympics. So to answer your question, yes.
