Quick one—not mine, but I just read and liked it: Is Isabella part of the couple?

Good guess, kls, but Isabella is not part of the couple.

Good guess, kls , but Isabella is not part of the couple. I'm guessing they are her parents. Was Mom cheating and some genetic test showed Dad isn't her father (squares being info checked off about DNA analysis or blood typing)?

Brava, kls! That’s it, and it took a puzzles forum much longer to figure it out. Excellent and very fast work! Would you just mind putting the answer in spoilers? (Highlight the text and then press the smily face-looking thing at the far right once.) Thanks.

Would you by any chance be interested in this one?

Good thinking, Jervis, and those are largely the right lines to be thinking along (if that makes sense…). He is not pretending anything, and he has no interest in how he looks.

Another quick one from the same forum: Salzmank, this is putting my mental stability in serious jeopardy. May I ask if there is only one other man, apart from Thomas, who figures into the equation?

Heh. I don’t want to put your mental stability in jeopardy! Difficult question to answer for this one—for our purposes, yes, only one other man, but one could hypothesize other men… Nah, I’ll say only one other man; anything else would be even more confusing.

More confusion, I don't need.

Let me clarify that “in no way responsible” means “not personally responsible”; that is to say, the other man’s life and person doesn’t affect Thomas.

OK, here I go. This doesn't address Thomas' financial state. But, I'm working on the theory that his wealth may be a Hitchcockesque "McGuffin." (More specifically stated ... I can't figure out that part.) Does Thomas formulate/design experiments that are to be carried out by an astronaut/astronauts, on the Space Station?

Thomas’s financial state does fit into it, albeit indirectly.

Nalkarj - Re : What does Thomas do? My answer would be... nothing. Why would he need to do anything?
