Will the studio who gets the distribution rights also get the production rights? Then, it is likely that they may want a fresh take on the franchise, with a new face for the Bond role? If Daniel Craig is no longer eager to continue with the role, it will be easier to recast. Also, what other stories are there to tell, if based on Ian Fleming's Bond series?
I have been a longterm Bond fan...right from Sean Connery's DR. NO -- would they want to recast based on his original portrayal? As the present day geopolitical situation seems to be becoming more edgy, maybe it is time for the franchise to give us more entertaining stories? I find the present Bond stories and how he is portrayed too gritty - although I do like Daniel Craig as an actor.

the only thing i want is for the film series to stay "European/International" I want UK or other foreign directors to spearhead the series, no US blood.

Would love to see Craig back for one more go-round as Bond.
That said, if the next 007 adventure ends up being delayed past 2018, they should just not make another one until 2022 (and cast a new actor).

I doubt they'll wait until then, to much money to be made.

I don't care what Studio makes the film as long as the script and actors are good.

I want Bond movies to go back to being fun and entertaining. No more of this serious, dark, humorless, gritty BS. Let DCEU stick with that style.
There are PLENTY of serious and realistic spy movies for those people who like that. But don't ruin Bond for those people. Let Bond be Bond. Look at the Fast and Furious movies. They are not realistic or dark but are loads of fun and make oodles of money because people want that type of mindless entertainment. If FF movies are also made realistically and serious and dark, they'll cease to be FF movies.

They need to bring back Brosnan and do like a Dark Knight Returns type of story. ... Not really, though. That would be awful.

No, get me wrong: I loved Pierce as Bond. I just don't think we need the James Bond equivalent of Indiana Jones 4 at this point in the franchise.

Please, please, Bond producers, heed Misstique's advice (though I don't want dark and gritty for DC and Marvel either)!
