you think it's worthy of. Not just those three, but anything.
I recommend the movie The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete.
I also recommend fresh raspberries, although they probably get sufficient good press.

I think the Twilight books are awesome. The movies killed the rep of the series, but I'd recommend them to anyone who likes vampires/paranormal.
I love the movie 10,000 BC. It got destroyed by the critics but it's damn entertaining. I think a lot of people took issue with the historical inaccuracies. As a documentary it fails on all levels, but as a popcorn flick about Atlanteans using mammoths to help build the pyramids it's a lot of fun.
Also, Firestarter with Drew Barrymore. That's one of the better King adaptions and George C. Scott is gold.

Polish movie “Vinci” it’s a heist comedy and it’s so funny and lovely and well made.
Also “Just Like Heaven”, If you like rom coms this one with Mark Ruffallo as the lead is really good and I feel like it never got the praise it should. It’s funny smart cute and touching. Perfect for Holuday time. Go for it.
And while you are at it check out the French/American show “Gad”. I really loved it and don’t think it did well enough to renew but I think the season is well worth watching. I laughed a lot. Maybe you will too.

You know, I've never read a Twilight book, and I don't think I've even seen a trailer for 10,000 BC, so I'll have to check those out. I LOVE Firestarter. Loved Drew Barrymore and David Keith in it, and can remember thinking they had a realistic bond and rapport, all circumstances considered. That, Christine (even though it scared me when I first saw it as a kid), Carrie, The Shining, Dolores Claiborne, and Misery are probably my favorite Stephen King adaptations.

I had a crush on Max Headroom when I was little and he was in the Coke commercials and then the show. I already had a crush on Sting and a poster of The Police on my wall since I was eight, so Max Headroom folded right in, type-wise. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Knights_of_the_Cross ...so now I have to find those films.

Firestarter makes me think of me and my dad. I always cry when Andy dies. If you like paranormal definitely check out Twilight, don't let the movies put you off. Her stand alone book The Host is also one of my favorite reads.

Movie: John Carter (although I hear tell it's been approaching cult status in Europe, interestingly enough)--a movie that deserved much more appreciation than it received; its two main problems, as I see it, were (1) its stunning costliness and (2) its ill-starred release time; Disney was in the process of acquiring Lucasfilms--and couldn't be bothered doing proper promotion for a film based on the mother (or granddaddy) of all American-born space operas, A Princess of Mars, by Edgar Rice Burroughs (originally published as a serial, Under the Moons of Mars, in 1912). TV Series: Whose Line Is It, Anyway? (the British version, hosted by Clive Anderson; you can keep the American one hosted by Drew Carey) Book: Katherine by Anya Seton. Wonderfully vivid, sweeping, and compelling historical novel set in the 14th Century, relating the story of Katherine De Roet Swynford, mistress and eventual wife of John, Duke of Lancaster (aka John of Gaunt), and dealing with the Hundred Years War, the Black Death, and the Peasants' Revolt...you know, all those lighthearted, fun things that make life worth living.

WUSA (1970) – an amoral drifter takes work on a radio station beaming a soothing message that all is well in America despite the turmoil of the Vietnam era. Starring Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Laurence Harvey, Anthony Perkins, and Cloris Leachman. Widely disliked but I give it a 7/10.

I was just mentioning Krzysztof Kieślowski and thinking how Trois couleurs: Blanc/Trzy kolory: Biały is often underestimated. I always think of Kieślowski as looking like Zbigniew Zamachowski because of Blanc. Lol, isn't that silly? I'll have to find Vinci. Have you ever seen The Kids Are All Right? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Kids_Are_All_Right_(film) It's a really good dramedy. Ruffalo stars with Annette Bening, Julianne Moore, Mia Wasikowska and Josh Hutcherson; Lisa Cholodenko is a great filmmaker. Is Gad on Netflix? I can't find it on Wiki. Netflix-wise, I cannot sufficiently recommend Dead to Me. If you like smartly written dark, darkcomedy, see it.

I was shocked when I first saw Gattaca (1997) some 15 years after its release. It flopped at the box office, and not much was mentioned about it. I just knew it was a Sci Fi film that some people recommended. This film speaks volumes about human spirit and determination. If someone hasn't seen it, and enjoys a character driven quality sci fi movie, I highly recommend this film.

No, but it's original and really entertaining. I'd watch it a 1,000 times over all the shitty remakes they keep cranking out (I'm looking at you, Jacob's Ladder).

Book: 'Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede' by Bradley Denton, wonderfully offbeat and surprisingly poignant sci-fi adventure story.
Movie: 'Highway 61' (1991) Offbeat, darkly comedic Canadian road movie.
Television series: "Clerks" based on the Kevin Smith movie, but much funnier.
Music album: 'Corridor of Faces' by Lazy Smoke, basically unknown dreamy psychedelia from 1969.

It even has Gore Vidal! I love its aesthetic, and of course the performances. I've seen it more than once and I've cried each time. Niccol created a world that's conceptualized so completely, right up to the precipice of but without being heavy-handed. I love it. We even got to keep Jude Law, afterwards.

I saw that when I was 16 with one of my best friends and we were just agog. What were we seeing? An excellent movie, is what.
